Is a 383 stroker kit in a 5.3L gen 4 a bad Idea?

Yup and my stock 243 heads are cathedral shaped intake ports. Gm parts shows the same part# intake manifold for the 5.3 with 243 heads and the 6.0 with 823 heads. My question should have been how can one manifold fit two different shaped ports?

Sorry I should have noted that I looked up the parts for my 2008 5.3L and for my recently purchased 2008 6.0L

That is 08. it says 10-11 because they changed pn but those are the manifolds.

I'm curious where you got this information? I have checked a couple different gm parts links and none showed your part numbers

Both those numbers are valid GM part numbers, they come up as 2 different intake on gm parts direct.

Also through summit racing.

Special access ;-)
You just have to know how to search i guess. Quite a few gm callouts wont list for a chevy so swap over to gmc etc and if it says #500 and there are 2 or 3 #500s then you have to sift through comments and look for rpos et to make heads or tails.
I can say with 100% certainty there is no gm intake that fits both heads. Its not physically possible.

Thanks for the information. I looked up a 2009 Sierra 2500 6.0L and the part number is what you gave me 12597600. GM parts direct shows the same part# heads for both the 2008 and 2009 but two different part#'s for the intake. I wonder if some 2008 trucks had the wrong intake on them or is that just a parts mess up?

Could you please give me the correct Part# intake gasket for the 12597600 intake? And do I need a quantity of two or just one for the gasket?
