Default 350 Chevy HELP NEEDED

Hello all, excuse my ignorance for I have new to all of this. I have a 62 Chevy Fleetside that i just recently bought and I'm wanting to build up. The problem is I dont know where to begin and or what direction to head. What i'm trying to achieve is a built up truck pushing 350-450 HP. I've been told to just build a 383 stroker out of my 350 motor but I would like as much input as possible. Thanks in advance!

To costly.

Yank it in favor of a stock 5.3 and a used blower.
Slip a cam in it if you want the lumpy lumpy idle.
You will exceed your power goals easily and have a way more reliable power plant.

Not hard to make 400 hp out of a 383 and it will be very reliable if built right and make ALOT more torque than a 5.3.
