depends on the cam. i milled .040 off some 243's and put them on a 5.3 with a tr220 and used 7.4 pushrods. right now i am stock headed with a tr224 and am using 7.45's. most aftermarket cams have a smaller base circle.

im running a 228r i was going to mill them .30 and then run stock gaskets

i used a stock gasket also. 7.4's will probably work.

Yea my brother is runnin 706's on his 5.3 milled 0.030 with 7.40's as well. He has the comp 232/236r cam. No probs...

yeah i should be fine then guess im ordering some head bolts i can get the heads milled down for 60 bucks at the machine shop near my house so thats decent shuld i order new head gaskets or use the ones i got the motor only has 6,000 miles

Pushrods are cheap, get a checker and keep your own heads.......don't mess with the 706's

I don't know about reusing head gaskets... I didn't know you could... I would get new ones if it were me(and I had the cash lol).
