is it possible to get 300 rwhp from a 5.3 with boltons such as CAI, cutout, electric fans, tb spacer, tb bypass, delete maf screen, 93 nelson hot tune, and long tubes with ory-pipe? What about spark plug wires and plugs? thanks- Allan

Uh, yup!
Before cam i made 304/327 without long tubes too!

PS. I would skip the tb spacer, delete maf screen mods. May actually hurt performance.

300 is a possible mark.I was there until i added a convertor into the mix...anyway i would lose that tb spacer asap. The descreened maf may or may not be hurting you. Some see a loss with it some see nothing and some see a very very very small gain....up to you on that one.

L33 5.3L
Shorty headers
Volant CAI
Borla cat-back
Dyno tune by Rick@Synergy Motorsports

I will have to say a good tune is probably the best thing i've ever done with my truck.

Got almost another 30 with the cam and now i'm tossing it all and going FI with new cam and converter.

bluecajun is at 340 with bolt ons and a cam and mail order tune if I'm not mistaken... 300whp is a very attainable goal.

ok I heard this before but why? (the MAF screen mod), I made it with my late 2000 Caprece (Holden) and it was worthfull.
on my 2005 5.3 is :
compcam cam
compcam spring valve
electric cutout exhaust (after the cat)
MAF screen mod
AIRAID induction
and working on tuning (LS1-EDIT)

what do you think the rwhp will be? (I hate to take it to dyno)

It will be close. If you have the Crew Cab Z71 then you should have the standard block 5.3. In my 04 Crew Cab, which was a 5.3 2wd, I was running full bolt-ons minus the long tubes and put down 279 to the wheels. I think it is possible, but you have extra drivetrain pulling it down a little also.

Interested in seeing how it comes out for ya.

it's obtianible I know a few whom have done it with all bolt ons and longtubes.. I'm pretty close to it i just need a Dyno tune and some minor changes to other parts.. Namely cold air..
