If it was the identical problem then maybe not... BCM's definately need to be programmed when they are replaced..
[COLOR=Red]From the GM Manual:
The body control module (BCM) must be programmed with the proper RPO configurations. The BCM stores the information regarding the vehicle options and if the BCM is not properly configured with the correct RPO codes the BCM will not control the features properly. Ensure that the following conditions exist in order to prepare for BCM programming:
The battery is fully charged.
The ignition switch is in the RUN position.
The data link connector (DLC) is accessible.
Follow the instructions on the Techline Terminal and scan tool to program the BCM.
If the BCM fails to accept the program, perform the following steps:
Inspect all BCM connections.
Verify that the Techline Terminal and scan tool have the latest software version.
Important
After programming, perform the following to avoid future misdiagnosis:
Turn the ignition OFF for 10 seconds.
Connect the scan tool to the data link connector.
Turn the ignition ON with the engine OFF.
Use the scan tool in order to retrieve history DTCs from all modules.
Clear all history DTCs.
Granted it sounds like the only thing that will be affected is the "optional" equipment, but I have seen very strange complaints from non-programmed BCM's...
Again probably not the issue you are having, but just an FYI....

well we figured out that there is a draw somewhere. we disconnected the negative side of the battery and hooked up a test light to the negative side of the battery and grounded the other end and it lights it up. Any ideas flipper. thanks for your help by the way. I just looked at your profile. WOW your set up looks sick.

What wire was it that touched ground? I know you said it was a power wire, but which one? Where was it getting its power source from?
So I am on the same page, EVERYTHING works but the headlamps (both high & low beams) and the park lights are stuck on... Park light only with key on? or do they come on when the battery is hooked up & key is off?

we fixed the headlamp problem now. the only problem now is it thinks the ignition is always on for some reason. So if its dark outside then the lights automatically come on. We have traced all the wires to the twilight sensor and all that but and still no luck. We think it has something to do with the TBC fuse. It was the stereo power wire that was a direct hook up to the positive side of the battery and ran straight to the amps and thats it. It touched the side of the blower (ground)

the test light trick won't work with newer vehicles. consider the draw that the test light has and then consider the draw that all of the computers in the truck take.
and flipper is right, the BCM should need to be programmed.
