Default 2500HD CC 6.0L whipplecharged, which converter?

Do I want a Yank or other torque converter for my setup? If so, which and why?

from what I've been told a higher stall converter might produce to much heat if you do any offroad type stuff.

Well depends on your realistic goals... do you tow? Do you want a loose converter?

I don't tow, don't do any offroading, but i do use 4wd in the winter. I think I know what you mean by a loose converter and I would say no. I think mine feels loose now.

With that big of a truck, and the low rpm torque of the whipple, I'd say get a Yank TT2600. That should put you right in the meat of your powerband when you get on it. But it'll still be nice and tight for daily driving.

For a cheaper alternative maybe try a trailblazer converter. They stall in the 2600 range. I think they just have a little less stall torque ratio than the yank.

you might be ok with your stock converter, I'm brake stalling stock at 2500rpms and flash stalling at 2300-2500rpms.

That's exactly what I was thinking too.

Unless he's looking to really haul ***, the only other converter I'd consider would be a PI Vig for the 4L80E.
