Maybe I am missing something. But why would he need to mill them to get the compression of the newer 4.8's?

Im pretty sure the 243 4.8L have slightly less compression than the older 4.8L.

yeah, it might be a waste of money to swap the heads after you factor in costs of gaskets and headbolts.

Seriously, the powerband ends at 6500 on the tr220 and I'm spraying 150 shot. Trying to keep her in one peice. It's still got stock rod bolts in it lol
