yeah, your gonna lose some with the big wheel tire combo. mine was a big SOTP diff. probably about .5 in the 1/4 but I went fron a 30" 16 to a 31.6"rolling dia. 22. and if you go with a reaaly short sidewall 20 or 22 you won't hook up worth a ****. I went with a 305/40/22 instead of 35's and 30's that are available for ride quality.

My stock wheels and tires weighed 50#, my 20's with 275-45's weighed 75# that is an additional 100# for the 4-20" wheels so I would like to find a lighter wheel also but I would like them to be chrome.

I know my super finish(I think that's what their called) BOSS 301 are 36 lbs per wheel not sure about the tire weight. I could just sit their and spin with the stock tires and wheels and couldn't get traction worth a crap, with my tires now i can really get a good grip and the ride is a tone better. I have goodyear 275/55/20

Darn! You going to have to get 22's

What about Boze wheels(bozalloy.com) are those pretty light wheels? Heres my big deal I will no doubt have a set of wheels for the strip(stock wheels) and Ill probably only roll the 20's for liek 1/2 the year but the times I do ahve jthe 20's on I dont want to get in a situation with say a Dodge and get my *** handed to me and sitting there thinking if I only had the 16's on!!!! Ill have 4.10's with the 16's so what will that make my gearing with the 20's like 3.90???? Is that enough gear to do the job with 20's???? Whats the deal with stalls and 20's not mixing??

The tires have as much or more to do with the extra weight as the wheels

Actualy, for every one pound of weight you add to the wheels is like about 4 pounds of weight to the overall weight of the vehicle. In you case going from 50 pound wheels to 75, would like adding 400 pounds to the overall weight of the vehicle. This is why you gear horror stories like 4 to 5 tenth of sec on the .25 just by going with 20's.
