in a 6.0 liter that I am not stalling. I want more power down low but not hurt my top end or mid range.

Anybody running a cam similar to this?

You can go bigger than that in a 364. Comp's 212/218, .559/.563 (or even a little bigger) would be no problem.

if your HD is like others then you have more stall in your converter than the 1500series bubbas. both my 1500HD and my 2500HD flashed to 2500rpm

It flashes to about 2200.

I really dont want it to be a pig off the line any worse than it is. I was talkin to the guy at Cam Motion and he told me if I go with much more duration it would hurt my bottom end.

I am looking for a cam that starts makin power about 1800 or 2000 and goes all the way across the board. Im not trying to make this a rqace truck just trying to get a lil more bottom end out of it.

Im thinking about going with something like maybe a 560/ 560 lift

hats becuase the 2500 and the 1500 HD both use the 2.48:1 1st gear 4l80e trans, while the 60e uses the 3.06:1 1st gear. The longer gear loads the TC more giving a higher stall speed.

ha ha thats what i was thinkin when i read it. fine for a 5.3 but for a 6.0...IMO you could add about 10* to each duration and still not have to stall that beast and be fine

I have a 210º/212º .559" on a 114º in a 6.0l ECSB. It has a stock idle and massive torque from the crack of the throttle. The truck tows a two horse trailer without any problems at any speed on any hill. A great choice with any stock or mild converter stall.

Good luck,

Richard

Yea the more I talk to peoplr the more I think I wanna go bigger. Im going to call and talk to them again.

Richard how is the bottom end on that cam from a dig? About what RPM does it come on?

I was also thinking about something like a 208 / 218 - 565/ 565 115 or 116 but the more I read the more I think Im going to go with something like a 210/218 - 560/ 560 115

With the exhaust you have, I dont see the need for that much split on the duration. But Im no expert
