Don't you just gotta push that little tang to the left or right to open the internal ring enough to slide it off the nipple?

This guy had the same problem, he took a bad picture but you get what it means I think.

Well I don't know or I wouldn't be asking. Funny I was installing an Airaid intake tube also. there is very little room to get any tool in there without removing the entire coil bracket. I did remove the first coil but still not much room. I ended up just cutting the plastic pipe which worked but I'd still like to know an easier way to remove it. All the Gen 3s it's just a slip on rubber hose. First Gen4 I've had a need to remove that hose. Stupid GM using a connector you can't hardly access the release.

I believe both my 2010 and 2012's had that connector, the 2007-2009's used regular rubber slip on boots.
