Default 2007 New Body 4.8 to L96(LY6)

Hello All. I am a newbie and would like to know if anyone knew I could obtain info regarding a swap from a 4.8 to a L96 6.0-liter please? I've read where the injectors will need to be swapped, the e.c.m. retuned(by who I do not know), and was wondering if all the electrical will plug and play and/or what pitfalls am facing...… ANY details and welcome and help much appreciated!

The L96 has VVT and your original 4.8 does not. You would either have to attempt to add it to your truck or do a cam swap in your new 6 liter and delete the VVT. If you get a complete 6 liter with the intake manifold you will be plug and play. Your original intake manifold from the 4.8 is useless being cathedral port and having rectangle port heads on the 6 liter. Just have a tune for the 6 liter written on your trucks ecm which is going to be a requirement to delete the vvt anyway.
