I used a small pick with a screwdriver handle. From the inside, u can see the plastic tab that needs to be pulled out some while u twist the whole thing.

hey guys im new here but been doing a lot of reading and was wondering if the dowel trick will work on the DOD lifters i see that they dont have the same groove in them but there is a slight cut but its a little further down on the lifter thanks for any help.
