I don't know for sure if 04 is the same as 03, but it probably is. You can disconnect a wire in the Body Controll Module (near the brake pedal) and get rid of the chime when you leave the key in and the door open.

Annoying Chime

 

It only does in maybe every few weeks. The dealer said to watch for anything that might be going wrong with the info center on the instrment cluster. All is fine. They said if they have to replace the body controll modual it would be a huge job, what ever that means? Is the BCM hard to get at?

 

My door chime times out after a few minutes but it always starts up again there has gotta be a seprate wire for chime
driver.

 

come on some body has to know this!!! how about the people that install stereo's for a living??

 

It MAY be the grey w/ red stripe. I would cut it far enough back incase you need to splice it back together.
