Sounds good, I'm looking at coming over in the next month or so. I will let you know a couple of weeks in advance. That would be cool to meet the club. I will try the launch this weekend if I dont run my car instead.

Thanks
Erick

Default Which intake and Exhaust

Ok, I need opinions on this:

Supermaxx header system - anyone have it? is it worth the money?

Gibson super truck exh
Borla
Corsa

Which is the best bang for the buck?

K&N vs Custom Kits on this forum, which is the best?

I want to start modding, but I dont want to waste money due to my mistakes.

Thanks
Erick

super maxx are suppose to be one of the best. Also Arizona speed and marine are good. Intake I woulod build your own or a volant. I am waiting for the new vara ram intakes to come out and see if their as good as their suppose to be. exhaust their are a bunch of different ways you can go but the best (system) would probably be the corsa. Then you would really need a tune from allen at nelson ands a stall would really help. their are just so many ways to go.

Stall and HPPIII knocked a second off my ET. Combined they were under $1000. I don't expect a set of long tubes would compare to that, and they are the same money. Not saying they aren't sweet, but not really where I'd start. Just my .02.

You think going with a Corsa or borla exh, intake, and a nelson tune would put me in the 14's sea level. I know being up here I would need NOS and a radix to hit mid 14's prob. I hate being at 4k ft.

I think it should. I ran a best of 14.98 before the converter with just a Magnaflow cat back, intake, and HPPIII, in an extended cab truck. I've heard of guys here in Maryland running in the 14's in a STOCK reg. cab 5.3.

What was the DA that day? Your times seem really high for an ext.cab with your mods.

I have been looking at the volant intakes, they look good. The question I have is how much better are they from the do it yourself intakes on this forum? Is k&n FIPK crap now or is it still a good mod?

??? The Boyd Coddington Dicatator ??? has anyone seen prices on these? I am looking at 18x9.5's for the truck. Are these really good wheels? Or would I be alright with centerline or weld?
