If you are at close or close to seal level and with with good atmosphere conditions, you should sub 15 sec times.

That comes out to roughly

1/4mile: 15.57
MPH: 88.56

This based on a 4000' elevation which is what I found the track to be.

Definately 14sec capable if you could get the 60' down into the low 2.2 range Maybe look into some sticky tires and a stall converter eventually then stickier tires Hahaha

Nah, never been there. I just did a search for the track so I could make sure the #s I gave you were as accurate as possible

Sac is either 50' or 500' above sea level. I can't remember. It is the fastest track in Cali at this time. It is also probably one of the most ghetto but it's ok. Hehehe

So whats they best way to launch. I have been holding the brake, giving enough gas, but not enough to spin the tires. I take off in the middle of the third light. Is this right or Am I way off????

Pony,

I will have to get ahold of you when I finally get a chance to head that way..
Ghetto is better than nothing.

Sounds good mate! I am president of Norcal-LS1/LT1 also so I can introduce you to all the F-body guys up here too. Just let me know when you plan on heading this way.

Your lauch technique would be perfect if you had slicks. On street tires you are going to have to feather the pedal a bit. Start by having your foot on the gas and other on brake and just barely bring your rpms up a bit. Then as soon as the 2nd amber light goes out let off the brake and start to slowly press the gas down in a nice even way till it is floored. Don't just mash it. You shouldn't spin the tires that way. Then you can practice pressing the gas faster and faster till you do get spin. Then you will start learning the art of pedaling it.
