I have the K&N FIPK and I like it. Seemed to loose just a little low-end, but pulled better in the mid-range and top-end than the K&N panel filter.

for an 04 a custom tune is going to run a bit more. but the amount of gain is worth it in my opinion.. but if you are wanting just to do a couple a things then go with a hypertech. check on custom tunes while you are at it to.

Nelson, Pay the extra $$ it;s well worth it. I've been the handheld route, don't waste your time and money.

Volant intake is really good. A lot of people like the FIPK as well. Different designs though. Hypertech or Superchips is basically just good for adjusting your shift points, gear ratios, speed and rev limiters. Your not going to get much of a power or performance improvement. The predator dose do more than a hypertech/superchips because I think it lets you play with timing and fuel. Not completely sure, I'm sure someone will chime in. I also heard that raising the shift firmness by increasing the line pressure is not good for the transmission. Go with a shift kit and servos for that

i have a HPP3. i regret buying it. trust me, spend the extra $100 or whatever it is for a custom. wish i did.

in addition to a CAI and programmer, throw a catback on there as well.

K&N FIPK
custom tune
magnaflow

and you should be all set. not sure what the current prices are, but should be around $1000 give or take for all 3

I say get a custom tune as well. But if you want a hand held get the Superchips. I had the Hypertech and it sucked ***. And a friend of mine had the Predetor and didnt like it and he got a Superchips. But i would get a custom tune. Im going to get rid of my Superchips as soon as get the money for a Nelson tune. Dont get me wrong, the superchips is great, but a custom tune is way better.
