Default 2004 2500HD 4x4 6.0L Issues

Here goes...

I bought a 2004 Chevy 2500HD 4x4 with a 6.0L and 4L80E combo.

It has some light mods done to the powertrain.

-Full Bassani exhaust from the headers back.
-K&N cold air kit
-Small 210/218 .551/.551 on a 116*
-And a stall of unknow origins. Somewhere around 2800-3000 I would guess.

My Parents drove the truck back from FL a couple weeks ago with out any problems. I have been driving it every since. I got caufght is a huge down pour of a rain storm and splashed aot of water up inot the engin bay of the struck. Every sice the rain strom my truck has had a low rpm low load miss. It just happens upon take off and when the truck kicks down into OD cruising. I have changed the plugs and wires, and it did not help.

I am at a loss for what I need to be looking for or at. Any idea's would be great.

Josh

Never thought about that. EFI/LIVE scan shows I have DTC's:
P0135 "02S Heater Performance Bank 1 Sensor 1"

EFI/LIVE systems test reluts show I have one 1 sensor heater bad.

Any idea which sensor that one is, and if replacing it would maybe fix the issues? I am not abpve replacing all 4 of them. That would get pricey though.

Try reseting the code first before spending hundred$ on new sensors.

I reset the code twice and still havent resloved the issue. This sucks. Not one of the autoparts stores has an OE sensor. Its gonna be mid week if I order one today. Looks like I am off to buy a universal to make work until I can get a new one ordered.

Well I am back from the shop. I used a crappy universal cut and splice sensor and it didnt really help. It solved the O2 sensor code but replaced it with:

P0171 "Fuel Trim System Lean Bank 1"

I ordered an OEM replacment sensor so I cna do the plug and play thing. I am alo gonna wire up a WB here soon so I can fine tune the truck in.

I will post up how it turns out for all that are interested.

Thanks for the help guys.

My bad meant 2500HD. I wish I had a 2500HP truck.

I put in a new OE replacment O2 sensor. Bank 1 is still reading lean. I checked the system test and all is showing good. I guess I will be taking the truck to the local dyno for some tunning. I dont really know what else to look for. I am beginning to think that its been like this since I got it and just noticed it when I start watching the real time data on EFI LIVE.

Question? Do you have to do a free air calibration on OE replacement O2 sensors?
