Default 2002 RCSB mild build

Hello everyone I’m new too posting on here, but I’ve been reading on here for a while now. Anyways I’m looking into making my DD a low 13 Second or maybe even high 12 second truck. The truck is a 2002 RCSB Sierra. So far the only things I have done too the truck are rebuilt 4L60e, vette servo, trans go shift kit, and 1 7/8” long tubes.

I cannot decide on the cam that will be going into the truck. Im thinking either the BTR stage 3 truck cam, BTR stage 4 truck cam, or the TSP 223/226 truck cam. I already have a 3200 stall on the way, and will be adding a Posi and changing the 3.42’s for 4.10’s.

The truck does have a 5.3 for what it’s worth. Any help would be appreciated on what else would help me. Thanks in advance!

You are on the right track with the upgrades you are wanting in my opinion, try to get as much as you can done at once so you are not paying for a retune multiple times. Any of those suppliers are worthy cams, they can spec you one out if you contact them. I called TSP told them my build, expectations and they gave me a decent cam.

Thats the plan too try and get it all installed at once, then trailer it to the dyno. I’ll give TSP and Brian Tooley a call and see if they can spec me a cam. Thanks!

Don't forget larger injectors, those are a must.

That’s in the budget. I was thinking 8.1 Vortec injectors. Does anyone have any experience with the V2 BTR cams? I’m wondering how the stage 3 218/224 would compare too a TSP 224R.

if your still looking, the 8.1 marine injectors are an awesome upgrade and heard from many tuners easy to work with. (whatever that means I don't program) and they are 42lbs
