Hey guys, my pops just got a 2001 Tahoe with the 5.3L. He wants to drop is a few inches, nothing major. Anyone have some info on lowering kits and where i can get them? Also looking into a few performance items, probably the K&N FIPK and maybe an exhaust.. any suggestions on what else i can do with the truck would be appreciated! Thanks! i dont know much about droping it, so i wont help you there...sorry.

performance wise, i would say he could start off with:
intake (K&N FIPK, or UPD i would go UPD)
exhaust (catback or just muffler)
Programer (HPP3 or ls1edit) hpp3 if he isnt into hardcore
160* t-stat
electric fans
headers
cam
N2O

the list goes on and on

 

if you're interested, i still have a hpp3 for sale. it was for my 2001 sierra, i'm pretty sure it would work for your dad's ride. just a thought. good luck with the truck.
