exhaust, tune, cam, stall, worked heads....the list goes on and on
supercharger, turbo whatever it's all available
best bet is just to put a 6.0 in though, you wont be seeing big enough gains with that 4.3 to make it worth while if your expecting a 12 sec. V6

well i know i can do that, but i need to know where i can find that stuff and who makes it. or maybe a good deal on a 6.0 and tranny combo. btw, ive looked on ebay and have seen engine pullouts from 5.7 and 6.0 GTO's. they are full deal have everything like computer ect. ect. would that just bolt right in to my truck?

All you have to do if you get a full engine with a harness try and score one from a close year to yours so as much of the harness and pcm will work. Then get the right motor mounts for it. The 4.3 mounts are offset from the 6.0 mounts so be sure you take care of that then besides that.. it's a straight forward swap

however your best bet will be a local salvage yard for a good motor/tranny combo...make sure everything gets cleaned up and whatnot but should be good to roll. I built a 4.3 a few years back and wasnt that happy with it when I was done, I wish I would of just put a 383 in it. IMO, go with the engine swap and build the tranny to hold the new power, dont forget about the rear end as well

oh i have, it just seems like like nobody ever lists the stuff for my engine. but i do like the sound of swapping up to an LS2, that would be one nice sleeper does anybody know of a good deal on a engine/tranny pkg?

you can keep an eye in the classifieds section here and on ls1tech.com keep and eye on ebay as well...maybe even check craigslist in your area as well, it may take some time to find one at a good price I would go for the LQ9 for the N/A application or if you plan on FI go with the LQ4 motor
