You haven't used the search button at the top yet have you?
You can also go into each section and hit search this section on the top right of it.

Not being rude, You can learn A LOT by searching it yourself rather than waiting on someone to respond with every piece of information that you could run across.

Have at it while waiting. I've learned a lot that way.

i searched alot and cannot find out about 4.3 swaps.

im going to build the engine completely before i swap it in that being said what is the best choice lq9 or lq4?

i will most likely run n20 since turbo/supercharger is a 5k bill atleast.

im looking to spend about 20k tops maybe a bit more

im trying to hit 11s atleast.

i need a list of what i will have to do to my truck besides engines trans.

should i build up the stock rear end or go with a 9inch or something like that?

whats the cost of a decent suspension set up to get the tires to hook?

The 10 bolt will live with good axles, billet caps, and an aluminium cover with cap supports. It just may not be all that happy about the hard hitting N20 compared to a supercharger.

Car Craft put a Dana 60 "my personal rear-end of choice" into a chevelle and used the stock 12 bolt brakes. Plus it only took 5 more HP to drive. I would explore this route if you wanna keep your anti-lock feature.

If not then a 9 inch the reputation well deserved, and has a slight advantage with really deep gears say past 4.88. Is very common to find them in large Lincolns which would be your most direct swap material. Gear ratios are the easiest to change by far. 20 bolts out and 20 in then you can taylor the truck for the pupose at hand. Probily in less then 3 hours. You'll just have to run Ford brakes as there is now brackets to put the stock ones back on. I called Currie enterprises and asked.

As for N20 try running a Jacobs or equivalent style Nitrous timer to save parts from the big hit.

I helped a friend put one on his car. We set it up to hit at 75hp and ramp up to 250 over 1.5 seconds roughly. It worked very well to get the little Ranchero into the very low 11's with out much traction issues. The tires were 235/60/15's and the motor was a basic forged 351 with a small comp nitrous cam. Very nice to drive around in, did good on mpg's, and was reliable enough to drive anywhere.

To hit 11s...IMO I'd swap into a ...

Engine - Lq9 6.0L fully bolt ons.....UD pulley, E-Fans, Long tubes headers, and awesome Tune, K&N CAI, Full dual exhaust, cam...MS4, 150 shot of N2O

Rear end - Trutrac Unit with 4.10 gears

Tranny - built tranny with 3600 to 4000 stall

Suspension - Caltracs traction bars

and some good Slicks shall do the trick.

im going with a fully built lq9 i think. whatever engine i get it will be built from the bottom up.

i would like to have it a manual simply because it will mainly be a street truck but would like to take it to the track every once in awhile and its already a manual.

go buy a new LQ4 long block and put a GT2-3 cam in it and run a turbo....your talking about spending that much or more in an engine to run 11's why not just boost it and be done with it. Very reliable and good for a street truck as well. You will run some good times with that and traction, add some bolt on's for sure and you would be happy. there just so happens to be a special on turbo's this month and it's a good deal, look under the sponsor section I believe it's under that section
