Unhappy 2000 gmc sierra 5.3l

i have a 2000 gmc sierra with the 5.3 l..i want to know if i can build this motor up with better heads,pistons etc..and still use my oem computer ..or install a lq9 6.0l in my truck..what do i need to do to make this work..it has been years since i have had to really work on anything..and i know there are alot of things i will probly need to do with this computer stuff.....any help would be appreciated...

You would have to get a custom tune from Nelson's at www.nelsonsperformance.com Keep track of all components what heads flow, cam, etc and tell him and he will create a computer that with run for your motor.

he also good with a 408 6.0 also built up!!!!!!
