2000 5.3 plugs and wires
I am looking to change out the wires and plugs on my mostly stock 2k 5.3 silvy. I have a true dual exhaust and a UPD intake. I was looking at the wires today and they dont seem normal, whats up with that??. I am used to my other silverado with a 5.7, these look completely different! Can anyone tell me where to buy a set of good custom fit perfomance wires?? Also, I need some suggestions on plugs. Thanks in advance!

I like NGK or Denso plugs personally. Some people spring for the Iridiums - the supercharged guys have to, I believe. I'm okay with the standard stuff.
As far as wires go, I think most any of the sponsors here will have them. I know tbyrne does. The LS1 car wires are "close" but not perfect. Most places list them as LS1-truck wires. I think they're a little longer. (maybe shorter, I forget).
They'll run from $55 and up...

Well on this board there are two oppinions, why mess with stock and aftermarket wires and plugs. As far as aftermarked plugs and wires, my oppinion is NGK TR55iX which is an irridium plug pregapped at .050. Wires most people like the Magnecore's. I recently bought the above and have no complaints. Some people are running the Taylor Thunder Wires but people with systems have complaints as far as I can tell. The reason they are different as to what you are used to is LS1 style motors, your truck, f bods, and vettes use a coil on plug therefore requiring 8 short wires. I got my NGK's and Magnecore's from Thunderracing.com. TByrne sells the wires too.
Oh and almost forgot, WELCOME...

I'm running Taylor wires and NGK tr55's no problems.
I did waste money on a set of bosh A4's ( cause they looked cool)
I lost 3 mph trap speed and gained .35 sec to my ET.( ? 20+ hp loss)
