I'm thinking similarly to NakedAv on this one. Their claims seem unrealistic. For now I will continue to wait for customer feedback on 6.0L motors. A 2 to 3 mpg improvement would be worth it on these thirsty powerplants.

Oh yeah, where did they find a 5.3 ECSB that runs 0-60 in 11.8 sec? In a salvage yard?
I guess maybe its possible with something like a 2.73 gear, plus crappy stock tuning, plus big tires, plus poor driver, plus dirty air filter.

If you take 15.5 as a quarter mile time, that gives roughly 8 seconds for 0-60. I would even believe 9 sec. But 11.8 before to 10.4 after is not exactly impressive 0-60 times.

I agree considering I ran a 10.1 @ 70 in the 1/8 in a bone stock no weight reduction 04 ECSB 5.3 in 98* and 100% humidity in the middle of the afternoon here in FL.

I think they're pulling numbers out of their butts.

Tom,

How loud is this system? I currently have a Volant. Is the King Cobra any quieter than the Volant?

The system is designed to be used with the stock tube to provide better performance. Track numbers are good but they don't give you 0-60 results. Those are the numbers that are needed. If the unit needs to be sent back VaraRam will check it out to see if there is a problem and why it didn't perform like it's supposed to. You would then be credited for the system.

Have you received the ram air version of it yet? And if you have can you give us a once-over of what you think of it and how it feels...

I have the full ram air system here and will be posting results in a few days.

To answer a question from above - this system is very quiet. It doesn't have any of the induction noise that an open filter would.
