I have a 1996 Chevy Tahoe with the Vortec 350 and I am having some probems with slow starting. I've replaced a lot and pretty much the only things left is the poppet style injectors and the FPR. Instead of spending the money to replace them when I would like to at some point put a 383 in I was wanting to know about putting on a Ramjet or Marine style intake and swapping to an actual injector. If anyone has experience with this swap and an idea of it's cost please post up. Or would I come out better to swap in an LS type motor? Thanks

 

For the money you will spend either buying or building a 383 and covering it to the actual injectors you could get way more power and economy by just doing a 5.3 or 6.0 swap. That's what I would do if it were my vehicle.
