I've got a customer that has a 1992 TB 350 that he's putting vortec heads on.. he wants to keep the throttle body on it, so I have to come up with an intake manifold that's going to work for it.. I know nothing about these older model trucks what so ever.. never had any dealings with them..
So basically I need help figuring out the following:
A good cam for this truck that isn't going to require a stall..
An intake manifold that will allow him to use vortec heads w/ tbi
And any valvetrain i'm going to need to boot...
Better yet if anyone can steer me to someone that can help me out with this, it'd be much appreciated.. thanks..

they make a performer and performer rpm H/C/I for that truck.

That edelbrok cam sucks. Been there done that. I ran a crane 210/216 on mine. Gmpp makes an intake as well as holley I believe. That cam will be good without a converter and pull to about 5300-5500. You will need upgraded springs. You can run the stamped rockers but the crane golds would be a good addition. Either 1.5 or 1.6. Also get a jet adjustable fuel regulator to dial in the fuel with. That coupled with a custom chip will be a solid setup. I had a similar setup on my 92 rcsb that ran mid 14 s on radials and mid 13 s on a 125 shot.

I went with a performer airgap carb mani and used a carb to TBI adapter plate.
Worked perfect for me as I routinly swapped from TBI to carb alot.
