160* stat?

Default 160* stat?

will a 160*stat make that big of a diff if nelson tunes the computer?
are they worth the 30 dollars?

I think it's worth it!! Compared to my 03 stock stat close to 210*

Wouldn't hurt!! I have a 160 stat in mine but I think Allen said that this doesn't matter. He still programmed the pcm @ 180...I think???

I would get the 180 stat just so the antifreeze isnt flowing constantly

Your truck will be warmer than 160 inside the block. The thermostat will only close if the coolant coming in is colder than 160. Even on 30* days my 160 thermostat with the stock electric fans set for low on at 185 and high on at 195, the idiot gauge never goes below 185. Before I changed the temp was anywhere from 200 to 240 in the stock settings. I noticed a big difference at the track in short idles that would climb to 230 in a heartbeat. Now it only gets to 195 in idle.

The thermostat is worth the money if you want the temp to be 185 not 200+++++
