Default 14 bolt rearend prep?

I'm wanting to swap to a heavy duty rearend and thinking a used 14 bolt out of 3/4ton Tahoe or Suburban with a Eaton posi might fit the bill.Who makes 6 stud axles to fit a 14 bolt and will the brakes and ABS hardware work with my 1/2 ton Tahoe?

I'm thinking Moser Axles or Something like Dutchman should be able to make them for reasonalbe price or already have them! Also depends on the number of splines

I would go with a Strange 12 bolt instead of that. It's gonna eat up a lot of power. Strange can make the alxes whatever bolt pattern you want. Give them a call.

The stock 14-bolt 6-stud axles will handle more power than even parish8 can throw at them !!.....I'd just get a set from a Z71 with a towing package or a 1500HD and call it good

All the 1500 HD's I've seen have 8 lug axles.

Hrm...I swear I've seen some with 6 but I could be wrong

Anywho....the the 88-98 2500's and heavy 1/2 ton Z71's (with the towing package) all had the 14-bolts with 6-lug axles too, and those are EXACTLY the same as the NBS 14-bolt axles (the axle shaft is...the housing is different)

So, what you're saying is to get a NBS 14-bolt and put the OBS 6 lug axles in them?
