Another thing to keep in mind is the fact that your current 305/45/18's are 28.8 inches in diameter, and the 315/35/18's you want to run are only 26.7 inches in diameter. 2 inches is a big difference. It's gonna alter your gear ratio a good bit, so any improvement you MIGHT get in traction would probrobally be forfeited anyway due to the newer gear ratio you would have. If it would hook tho, it would leave a lot harder! Also, depending upon what drop you have or don't have, it might look hideous. I agree with BIGKID, 12" wheels are too big (fitment wise) for these trucks with a standard lenght rearend, and when its cold its gonna be tough to hook anything. But I too would think that your current tires should work fine, especially if you get them hot with a decent burnout first. Good luck!

I run 255/50/17 in the front and 275/50/17's in the rear and haven't had any problems with the ABS.
