Default 114,000 on the 4.8

Should i go ahead and mod it... cam, headers, headwork, nitrous ..... or wait till it dies then mod the 6.0. I know everything will swap over but i aint sure what im gonna do yet. Please give me your opinions!!

Thanks,
Derek

Just do full bolt-on's and nitrous on the 4.8 and then switch it over to a 6.0 when it dies. If you get a cam that's good for the 4.8, more than likely it's gonna be too small for the 6.0, just stick with bolt ons and juice for right now. The nitrous will only help the 4.8 die sooner

I'd save your money and wait until the 4.8 dies. If you installed a cam and heads on your 4.8, imagine how you would feel if the 4.8 blew up and damaged the combustion chambers of your new head work, especially since you want to add nitrous. Save your money for the 6.0 build!

I dont care what you do...but PLEASE PLEASE get rid of that grill and chrome vent shade thing.

no really, just do some basic bolt ons and a nice nitrous kit, ya know, stuff that will be able to be transfered on the 6.0 swap

yea, i mean it doesnt look too bad (the chrome piece)bc it matches the fender chrome pieces ... but im not one for that type of grill, just my personal preference. I used to have the headlight covers too ( it was a gift) i thought it would look good on a black truck and it did for a while... but i couldnt put it on my headlights. i couldnt see at night, lol

know what you mean about people buying stuff you dont want to put on the truck. Wife bought me a carbon fiber bug shield and a marine corps hitch cover and front tag, both were scarlet and gold, no match what so ever! Needles to say I refunded the hitch cover and tag and got a new grill, but kept the bug shield to keep the peace. As far as your truck goes, Im with most people here, only do bolt ons that can be transfered over. I am in the process of getting a 6.0 and may even be selling my nitrous kit soon, will not be spraying the new engine, I think my 4.8 is slowly deteriating because of my driving habbits, (I romp on it all the time because thats the only way I get any power out of it any more) and untuned spray of 40+ bottles over the last year and half and I only have 80,000 on it.
