Good built 65e will take upto 550WHP without problems. you need good tune to make it crisp.

back to topic...

A Th350 would not be the right tranny to put in that truck. The 80e robs a little to much power for what the truck is probably making and I would say that a well built 60e, like the ones offered by our site sponsor, FLT, would be a good choice. That along with a 3000 rpm converter and he should a have it running well into the 13's, mabye high 12's with slicks.
Let's see...yes I can drive...and maybe I am hiding something....maybe not. And yes there is a way you can "trap" 102, 103, 101, whaever in my truck. But if you or anyone else has a problem believeing that....I really don't care. I didn't build my truck for you...and I don't have anything to prove. I just like driving my truck.

I guess you're going to say I can't trap 118mph @ 12.06 with a 5.0 Fox body either are you?

Man your truck must have serious traction issues. My truck runs 12.9X's at 106.XX mph. I'm 2 seconds quicker than you and only running 3 mph more...

not meaning to beat a dead horse...but how many slips do you have showing that trap speed on a high 14 second run? maybe the trap threw out a screwed up number. ive seen it happen before.

I got 1 slip out of 3 that day. I had 2 guys at the track tell me the same thing that you just said... . How does that happen? What would make it givwe me the wrong info?

The one guy that told me that, said he thought it was my wheels. WTF? What do my wheels have to do with that?

I'll go G-Tech it Friday night and see what the GTech says. But I'll be back to the track, the first weekend in April (after a coupls of more mods) and I'll see what it says then.

The thing that bothers me about this situation.....is now I have a obnoxious grinding sound in the rear diff. I pretty much know what that is. But it didn't start that unitl a couple of days after racing it.

I'll keep you posted...
