Default 1/4 mi time guess?

I have a 2003 RCSB, 3.73, G80, 5.3.

..no other options but air cond.

..it has a 91 hot tune from Nelson perf.

..stock steel rims/rubber.

What could this be expected to do in the 1/4 mi after getting the hang of launching..?

I read on the Fastest Truck list some trucks with 5.3's, street tires and they are under 15 sec with nothing but ECM or exhaust changes?

I'd say if you can launch good that the 14's are defintely possible.

02+ stock 5.3 rcsb are good for low 15 and some break even into the high 14's. I say you will in the 14's if you can hook up.

I'm thinking that with good air and your tune you should run low 15's or high 14's. I ran 15.16 with just the Magnaflow and some halfway decent air. Keep us posted on what you run.

Tuning works miracles on the trucks. 14's should be no problem.

Invest in a set of slicks. They were good for a second and a half on my truck. However, I have a 5 speed and launch at 3800 rpm ( to build boost quickly). It runs 15.20ish on street tires/ 13.70's on slicks. You should pick up at least 7 tenths or so in an automatic.
