Nick Williams 90mm cable driven throttle body. It's a favorite of the f-body guys. Any 90mm cable driven throttle body would work. They have the 4 bolt pattern that you would need.

you'll need to modify the intake where the fuel rails bolt to. on the ssr intake they're higher and the injectors won't go down into the intake far enough. i ground the intake and nutsert down.

but, I just want to confirm...
this intake will:
1. direct fit my 2000 5.3L
2. allow direct fit of my stock fuel rails and injectors
3. allow direct fit of my stock cable-operated TB (for now)

I have found one that I can pick up for $150...with about 3k miles on it...

also...any additional info, concerns or issues that you guys could share would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks,

Al
1 it is a direct fit.
2. your stock fuel rails wont bolt up, as stated in the post above the mounting tabs on the intake have to me modified.
3 no your stock tb will not work. the main reason for going to the ssr intake is to run a 90mm tb. with a 78mm you will not gain anything from the intake.

thanks for all of the input guys...it's greatly appreciated...
is the fuel rail mod that difficult?
what are the options to using the stock rails and doing the mod?
the guy with the ssr intake has the ssr rails as well as the TB...I assume the rails will not work with my stock return style system...and I understand the TB differences...that I need to get a cable driven, 4-bolt 90mm to be able to gain anything...
thanks again!

Do you have any pictures of the intake/fuel rails, off or on your truck?

Pretty much any performance shop that deals with LS1's. Place's like Thunder racing, SPeed Inc, scoggins dickey, it isn't hard to find. Alot of times they abbreviate it as NW throttle body so be aware of that.

Not to thread hijack (sorry) but will the SSR cover fit on a standard LQ4 style manifold?

Digging up old stuff here- Nobody replied to the other guy's question, how does an SSR or LS6 intake perform on a stock lq4, and will the lq4 TB bolt up?

thanks
