let me guess, thats the right rear. GM sells a set of mud flaps for the front of the rear wheels that will stop that premature pad wear. its cause from road debris getting on the right rear inner pad while driving. it dosent happen on the left side because the gas tank blocks a lot of the debris. the mud flap kit is around $110 and looks like **** IMO.

Holy crap you are exactly right. My right rear pad was the first pad on the truck to go at 105k and the other 3 rear pads still had about 40% left on them. The front pads still have about 60% on them. I haven't had any problem with rusty rotors, but I might have to fab up a non-visible debris shield for the right rear pad. Great thread guys.

15" wheels can be fit on 11" drums. I have 'em on my 1949 Hudson.

That extra .6" might be pushing it though.

My e-brake doesn't do anything at all either Hopefully they recall it eventually and put some parts on there that actually work.

can't remember which side that rotor and pad came from. both sides were pretty bad. i guess it was from alot of off roading, mud, and salt from winters

I also am a Chevy Tech at a dealer in Chicago. The rotors rusting is a huge problem. If you ever need to remove a rotor for any type of service you can forget about it coming off.
