Default 05 E Fans HELPPPPPPP

Alright. I have been reading for like an hour now, and everyone contradicts everyone else on this topic. I was thinking of goin with the 05 fans, but now I read that i need the 6.0 radiator? I would buy the nelson harness, but need to know how much it is. I already have his tune, so will he just need to send me another one so that he can turn the fans on for me? What are all the part numbers for the fans etc that ill need? Is it just plug and play if I get Allens Harness?

well I might be able to help as I just bought the 05 GM fans for my truck.
You will need a 34" radiator for a perfect factory bolt on fit (they may be able to be adapted to the smaller radiator, your call) Nelsons harness at full price is 89 plus 10 for shipping as of 2 days ago. Yes allens harness is plug and play as far as connections go, he will need to send you a new tune as you stated. you might need a larger alternator if you have the 105amp (again, your call), hows that?

That's what I was going to say. The need for the larger radiator is for the clips that hold the fan on.

I have the O5 fans also, no installed yet though, I do believe Allens harness is plug and play, You will need a 34 inch radiator. I would do a larger alternator, I got a 145 amp from Allen about two months ago for $145.00 he may have a few left.

Alright, well the nelson harness is a must. Id just have him send it along with my new tune, maybe save a few bucks. I have found the fan a few places. I have the small radiator though. Ill start looking for a 34 inch. What years did this come in? Is it a bolt in as well? Do I have to modify anything(translines, oil lines, hoses?)?

Allen does not have any more alternators. I bought the last one (unless he got more).

That should be the right one. The only reason that I got the GM rad is because I got a one-off deal on it. Otherwise I was going to get mine from the barn.
