Default 04 Z71 Votech Max....04SS into 04z71

Hi new to the site have been on truck performance and they said this site would be a lot of help. Here my problem or soultion
My budy just totaled his 04SS. I want to buy the truck back for the Motor, Tranny, Rearend to swap into my 04 z71 5.3. I have four questions.
1. Hot much should the buy back be or how much is to much.(I was thinking under 4k)
2. What mods must be made for the motor and tranny to swap over.(IE Electronics)
3. What mods should I do before putting the motor in. I only have a little extra money for mods.(Will my headers fit?)
4. Any other good info I should know

PS the truck has a bent front clip so nothing can be saved up there but the motor the rest of the truck is perfect. I might need a new intake and pully system but the motor still in good shape. Truck also only had 14k miles and my 75k will be like new.

while you got the motor out, throw a cam in there. i would say around 2k for the motor and trans. motor will swap right in, gotta do something for the trans to swap in but dont know. also gotta tune the truck for the motor.

The ss probably has AWD which I believe is different from the 4wd setup currently in your truck
