you got me interested.
I went out to the garage and plugged in my other TB and tried it.
It does open a bit slow compared to the pedal.
Do you think there is any performanceto be gained by opening it a little faster?
Are you sure the 04 TB opens faster?

You can run the 04 PCM without any problems. You almost certainly cannot run the 04 OS. The TAC module will most likely not cooperate.

Edit: Nevermind, you said you're using an 04 pedal and TAC. That would work well.

 

I honestly think it'll make a noticable difference off the line, mine seems to open slower than yours I think. Anyways, you just have to use the '04 pcm/'04 tac/'04 pedal/'04 OS with a correct '04 VIN and voila it fixes the slow throttle and also gets you RTT. Just to verify everything I passed it through EC_Tune over on HPT last night and he said it works for sure

 

like rivierakid55 said, it can be done. i got an 03 gmc denali 6.0 computer and throttle body for sale if anyone needs it for this mod or just needs or wants it as a spare. rob (956) 802-7700.

 

It seems that an 04 tac and 04 pedal would work if you write an 04 OS to your 06 PCM?

Sorry to dig up this thread, but yeah that works just fine. Gotta make sure you have the TAC and Pedal.

Not running it yet, still need to find a day to do the install and scratch the brain a bit lol

The only crappy thing is that I'll have to license another PCM, but oh well. I want RTT anyways.
