04 Escalade-hp level with these mods?
Time for a new vehicle for the wife. I took her to the local chevy dealer who also sells caddys, with the idea of getting her into the new SRX, cuz she did'nt like the cts-V.
Of couse a new escalade is sitting there, and that seems to be the vehicle of choice now.
I have the C3 with the whipple, built 6.0 and accompanying reliability issues, so we won't be going down the sc road with her ride.
I do plan on going with the B&B exhaust, cold air intake and Nelson tune, as I did on the C3, and I'm wondering where this should top out in regards to hp/tq, and if I slip it off quietly to the track what times I should expect? Thx!

I'm thinking those changes are good for 35 HP or so. The LQ9 comes with a really conservative factory tune. That's where most of your gain will be found. I think the stock airbox and exhaust are pretty good, so not as much potential there unless you get headers.
Yea, my wife wanted an Escalade but liked the V-8 SRX when she saw it. We just got a great deal on a 2004 the dealer wanted to move.
I am actually kinda relieved because there are so few performance upgrades available for the Caddy N*. It will save me some money and grief from the wife for modding her car all the time. She likes power but hates to hear the engine. Women. Go figure.
I'll just hafta spend the money on my own truck. I hope to get the Radix install finished on my Siverado SS this week. Sounds like you have a nice setup on your C3.

not to hyjack this thread, but what price range did you pay for your 04 srx? A local dealer here has one w/ the N* and awd, willing to part for $35,995 list of $49,190. Does that sound like a deal?

Salesman initially showed us like $38K and when we told him "mabes - we'll sleep on it" he came down some more. You might try the same tactic.
It's a nice ride. Quiet, smooth and nice power off the line. I imagine the rumored supercharged 400+HP V-series version is going to be sweet.

Always walk out of the Stealership once after talking them down, and them you will hit the bottom dollar. Trust me it works wonders.
I did it to those poor bastards after they went and bought the truck from another dealership and drove it 150mi to thier place. They werent too happy when I walked out. But before I could get too my car the price amazingly went down from thier final offer by $1K. SWEET
I don't think they made too much money from this one.
