Default 04 4.8-6.0 conversion

I just purchased a 2004 tahoe with the 4.8. I was wondering if anybody has info on a head and cam package, and or stroker package, that would increase displacement to 6.0 liters. (i.e. LS6-LS2 "05" vette)

I thought that if there isn't such a package maybe there is a package similar to slp head and cam package for the camaro and firebird which doesn't increase displacement but produces roughly 500bhp at the crank.

Thanks everybody!

i think u can bore out the iron block of the 4.8 to a 5.7, then just get all ls1 components for the bottom end.

it will prolly be just as easy to sell the 4.8 and get a 6.0 to swap in

Yes it can, look at my signature for the results, ended up around 6.3L or so with the stroker kit. 4.8/5.3 motors are much cheaper and easier to find these days but with the amount of 6.0L stuff these days prices are coming down for everything.
It's good to be an GenIII motor user!

No dyno time yet but the butt/HP Tuners says high 300 to the wheels. I will be doing some dyno time when the turbo is installed on the Ram and will post the results ASAP.
