Default 03 GMC needs a motor

Hey guys, I'm sure many of you have answered this question a million times. My 03 gmc sierra 1500 has a 5.3 and it has been abused and unmaintained for a long time. I'm losing coolant and I have a tick in the motor. I want to give it a little more power as I use it heavily on the farm and it gets pulled a lot.

Thanks

Find a 6.0 to drop in it and either use the 6.0 PCM or have your stock one flashed with 6.0 tune.

Or pull the 5.3 have it dipped and cleaned, put new rings and bearings in it and put it back together. Your call.

First what state do you live in. Second you can make a thread in the regional section and somebody in your area might get you looking in the right spot.

small cam 216/220 era is a good low end cam for a 6.0 along with a custom tune. Recommend one of our sponsors for that.

Still dealing on a motor, but bought a 6.0 pcm on ebay for $36.00. Did I get screwed?
