In order to stay in an affordable price range,I had to go with the base model to get all the options that I really wanted. 2000 std. cab Sportside <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> 4.8 V8 auto Cruise/tilt/power door locks/trim pkg for $18,500. I really wanted the LS package but I could not justify the extra $$$
I put $4500 down / 60 months @ 304 month.

Thanks for the input everyone. I realize it may be hard to get the truck I want for that monthly payment. I have good equity in my S10, and should have around $1,000.00 to put down as well. I got 5.9% apr on my first truck, and 3.9% on the current one. I am pretty sure I can 3.9% again on the next one. I can assume by the input that the truck I want should sticker between $22K & $23K. That gives me a starting point to work from. Between me, my parents, and a good friend - we have bought 4 vehicles from the same salesman since Feb. of 2000. We seem to get a better deal each purchase. I may even consider stretching my loan out an extra year to keep my payments more affordable.
Thanks again everyone.
Thanks again everyone.

red53gmc, what is your finance rate? $430 a month w/o a down payment sounds like a killer deal to me.
