Default 02 chevy tahoe problem need help asap

ok is there a way to check and see if your fuel pump is bad. also is there a way to bypass the security system to see if thats what is keeping it from starting. i am 250 miles from home changed the fuel filter checked all the fuses the car cranks but won't start gave it a little shot of starting fluid and it will run for a second but thats all i can get any ideas.

Couldn't you just crack the fuel filter line and see if gas sprays out when you turn the key to run?

you would think that if it was your security system it wouldnt be giving the truck and spark either... what did you do where you could have fouled up the securtiy system? maybe you could call the dealership

I'm pretty sure that "Security" will flash on your screen if that is the case.

You should hear the pump prime. It's barely noticeable on my Yukon, but if you listen hard enough, you'll hear it. Now... not to kill all hopes, but when my Yukon's fuel pump went South (for the SECOND time), here's what happened:

Attempt #1: Starter turns motor, but no run
Attempt #2: Starter turns motor, seems to want to crank over but doesn't
Attempt #3: Wait a few seconds, same as Attempt #2
Attempt #4: Same as Attempt #1

... this went on for about 10 minutes, and frustration set in.

Tow fee - $92
Fuel pump & sender - $290
Labor cost for installation - $299
The look on my face when they handed me the bill - PRICELESS
