i'm going to be swapping a 04 5.3 lm7 into my 85 k5 blazer. will a 4L60-E from 1992-1997 sync up with the ecm on my 04 ls1? or will i need to get the 1998-2006 4l60e? i really want to be able to run the older 60 cuz it has the same 4 bolt tailhousing that my transfer case adapter has. if i run the newer 60 then i will need to drop some bucks on a different adapter, since it has the 6 bolt hex tailshousing.

i've searched all over and can't find a for sure answer.
