Yank Stall Won't Install!!!
#1
I did a 6.0 swap and it did have a 4l80e behind it. I DID take the 4l60e flywheel off my 4.8 and install it on my 6.0 I jacked the tranny up and installed 4 or 5 of the bolts and then when i started checking on lining up my stall bolts i noticed that the stall doesn't have room to free spin and is pinned up against flywheel. What would cause this? Anybody ever had this problem?

Yep, just pull off your 60e flexplate and you will see it. I think it prys right off i really dont remember but its easy to remove, you do not need any special tools.

if thats not it youre converter might not be in all the way. try and wiggle it and push it back a little bit. rule of thumb is you shouldnt be able to fit your fingers behind the converter when its installed.

Are you sure it had a automatic behind it before? Check for a pilot bearing. Otherwise make sure that converter is et all the way. 3 steps with a few turns between each step closer to the trans. If you have a pre-2001 (I think) 6L then you may have that spacer mentioned above. The engine has aluminum heads right?

If its a 2002 model then it should have the spacer. I thought the spacer was pressed into the flexplate though as i remember. How far are the teeth of your flexplate away from the block? If its more then about 1/4-3/8" then the spacer is probably still on there.
I would lean towards the converter not being in all the way. They can be a real pain to get in sometimes.

I had no idea there was a spacer behind the flexplate??? Where exactly is it at and what must you do to remove it?
