The pt is a lower str so it won't hit as hard off the line as the ss converter, but it will be a little more efficient throughout the rpm range. It should drive great. I started with a pt4400 in my truck but it was too loose due to the weight and the 3.23's at the time, so dave restalled it and changed it to a ss4000. The PT's are a lil more efficient converter than the ss, and I think the pt may have a lil better shift extension than the ss of the same stall speed. You should verify that with dave though.

The pt shouldnt drop as far on the extension, and as far as efficiency, I mean it won't rob as much hp. I was talking to Dave today and have been considering tryhing a pt4000, he said the shift extension would be 2-300 rpm higher that the ss4000, but the str is lower so the launch wouldn't be as aggressive.
