Yank converter question

You need about 800 rpms minimum of shift extension while spraying to be efficient. Any less than that and its just blowing through it. My ss4000 had about 1000 rpm shift extensions from 5900-6000 rpm. But I believe if I had a cam and spun it to 6500 rpm it still would have had basically dropped to about 5000 still.
