Yeah, you better go ahead and get a built trans to go along with that converter... Stock transmissions dont fare well with higher stalls.

At the very least you are going to need a shift kit, servos, tune, and as many other small add ons you can think of... Bottom line, stock parts and stock frictions don't cut it when you're talking about converters of that stall speed.

Since you don't have a cam, why do you want such a high converter? It will more than likely make you slower than having a 3000-3200 stall, unless you have plans to throw a pretty decent size cam in it.

Yea of course aren't these the aka money pits. I'm eventually going to put one in down the road. but Dave from yank says he has a 5.3 with CAI cat back and nelson tune and he got a 3200 for it. said its not way good enough. with not as much hp the 3600 stall will actually only be more like 3400. plus its what the man Dave recommended.

It will sure as **** be faster than with the stock converter, but your top end will/might suffer. I know mine did. Converters love to soak up hp in the higher RPMs when they're not locked up. What size cam do you plan on putting in it?

Also, be prepared to go through tires like oil changes hehe

Personally after riding in a Yank 3600 truck and a Circle D truck, I would go with a CircleD, they are also cheaper... CircleD are also custom made for your unique setup, Yank is just off the shelf... Just my .02... I plan on switching to a 3800-4000 CircleD in the near future....
