Default Will T-56 bolt to a 6.0?

I have a friend building an 01 reg cab step side 2wd Sierra with an LQ9 motor, and he's hoping that he can find a 6 speed to bolt up to it, so I'm just curious as to wether or not a t-56 out of an LS based camaro would work or not?

Thanks,
Doug

Are you talking about just the bellhousing bolt patterns? If so, the answer is yes. All of the LS car and truck motors have the same bolt pattern. There are a few members who have done T-56 swaps.

vanillagorilla, 1truess, xrevx1, and retsell have done it, maybe more.

Here's some good threads to check out...

Do a search for T56 swap and you will find lots of info.

If he's going from an A4 to a manual there quite a bit more parts he's going to need.
