I'm looking for a new rear axle for my 2008 RCS silverado, and I currently have an open diff with 3.08 gears, along with a 4.8 and 22" wheels, so it's a turd....

I was looking for a stock G80 with either 3.73's or 4:10's, and was wondering if the older <2007 truck axles would work?

It seems to be cheaper just to get an entire assembly, that way I don't have to set pinion backlash and all that crap. So, if the leaf spring perches and all that crap are all the same, let me know, thanks!
