my buddy drives a 03 silverado with a 4.3 in it... the tranny just went out in it and i was wondering if a 5.3 tranny would bolt up??? and what the tranny code is for it.. thank you for all your help.

yeah it'll fit, the auto tranny is the same for the v6 and v8. I think the v8 one may be a bit stronger.

I didn't think the V6 version's bellhousing wouldn't bolt to the V8. This was beat to death on a couple of forums. PM litreddevil. He'll tell you for sure.

just take the bellhousing off of the 4.3's 60e
